Work in Progress & Creative Chaos

Cristina, my high school  classmate, whom I haven't seen for more than 20 years, chose "happy colors" like purple and pink for her phone pouch and we agreed on using this lovely image of a lady with a large green hat, with violets and pink roses.

Except for the image I ended up using none of the embellishments I have pulled out initially. What I did use was this gorgeous piece of vintage lace of which I wish I had more...
Here is the block pieced, auditioning embellishments:

And here with the basic seam treatments:

Most of the beads are sewn on, too, so tomorrow I will continue adding some more silk ribbon violets and roses, and hopefully sew the pouch together.
Now my creative chaos is patiently waiting for me to pick things up again in the morning...

Happy Thursday, Everyone!

I enjoyed seeing your work table. The pouch is beautiful. I notice you had a drawn stitching plan next to your project. Do you plan out your stitching for every project?

The softer colors you ended up with are so much more 'romantic'. Your work is incredible.
